Carla Mashinski currently serves as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Cameron LNG since 2015. She also has served as Independent Board Member of three public companies: Unit Corporation, (Chair of Compensation Committee and member of the Audit Committee); CARBO Ceramics; and Primoris Services Corporation.

She is known for her strategic and insightful financial leadership in oil & gas and as an energy industry operations executive with 30+ years of experience in governance and compliance, risk management, project management, HR, IT, and cyber security. Carla has a track record of envisioning and building global operational infrastructures that systematize processes, eliminate redundancies, improve cost and revenue structure, and create corporate accountability, and has consistently served as a key senior management team member influencing business decisions related to existing projects, new business opportunities, team leadership, and mergers/acquisitions. She sees the big picture and confronts issues in a collaborative, versatile, pragmatic, and transparent manner.

In her current role as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Cameron LNG, Carla is heavily involved in strategic/board, all financial, treasury, human resources, and IT matters. She established a high-performing finance and IT team; developed an Enterprise Risk Management system; has established appropriate governance in the organization; and instilled a cost-conscious focus enterprise-wide.

Before joining Cameron LNG, Carla served as CFO and VP, Finance & Information Management, North American Operation for Sasol Limited. In this role, she led financial and information management activities for the US Operations, rendering services to the strategic business. She established the structure for a growth organization with project development accounting and reporting, Louisiana tax incentives and IT systems development.

Earlier, serving as Vice President Finance and Administration/ US Chief Financial Officer for SBM Offshore Inc., Carla led the shared services team of ~50 people, with an annual budget of $15M. She advised on financial matters to improve revenue and cost management, provided financial updates to the Board of Management on a regular basis, managed all commercial aspects of a $1Bn technology project, and served as project manager of a divestiture project in the Netherlands that led to the sale of a non-core asset. She also continuously identified improvement opportunities, such as the implementation of a website that clarified brand identity, and IT improvements that enhanced efficiencies.

Carla also served as Vice President, Accounting and Chief Accounting Officer/Controller for GulfMark Offshore, Inc., leading all aspects of the accounting and reporting of a global, public company. She was involved in a key business acquisition, successfully implemented a SAP integrated accounting and information system, and provided periodic updates to the Board of Directors Audit Committee. Earlier in her career, Carla held various finance and accounting positions for Duke Energy and Shell Oil Company or affiliated companies.

Recently, Carla was recognized by WomenInc. as one of the 2019 Most Influential Corporate Board Directors; received the 2020 Breakthrough Award from Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and 2020 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Oil and Gas.

She earned an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, a B.S. in Accounting with high honors from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and completed an M&A program at Wharton. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas, a Certified Management Accountant, a Project Management Professional (PMP), a National Association of Corporate Directors Governance Fellow – The Gold Standard Board Credential, and COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certification.
