Pranika is passionate about developing and connecting people, and has been in training and development for almost two decades. Her focus at Occidental includes aligning people and business strategies, designing and delivering leadership development programs and courses, talent development, change leadership, as well as diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Pranika worked as an environmental engineer before transitioning into Human Resources. Pranika has a keen interest in mentoring and developing women, and started the women’s network at Occidental in 2013. She also previously worked as a diversity consultant, and is the former President of the Texas Diversity Council, Gulf Coast Chapter. Pranika speaks often at local conferences including Houston’s annual Diversity Summit, The Women’s Global Leadership Conference, and the National Diversity & Leadership Conference.

Pranika holds a B.S. degree from Northwestern University in Environmental Engineering and an MBA from Rice University. She is a Corporate Fellow with University of Houston, Downtown - MBA program and periodically co-teaches the talent management course. Pranika is also a graduate of Leadership Houston, Class XXXIV. She resides in Houston with her husband and two daughters and enjoys cooking, reading, photography, traveling, and gardening.
